Urban Impact supports all our students in their academic endeavors, no matter the grade level.
Through various programs, both in and outside of school, the Education team strives
to provide children with the opportunity to succeed academically.

MATH SUPPORT
Many students have wide gaps in their foundational math skills. Without these skills, they cannot progress to the higher-level math that is learned in middle and high school. Math Support works with the school to help fill these gaps while working on grade level material. Math Support tutors come alongside students by providing personalized math instruction and support as students work through each lesson. Students are selected for the program based on teacher recommendation
LITERACY SUPPORT
The Literacy Support tutors work with students individually, offering one-on-one time for the children and support for the teachers. Students are selected for the program based on teacher recommendation.
SUMMER DAY CAMP
For 8 weeks, the UIF Education staff have the privilege of spending their day with over 150 students. Each camp day includes math, literacy, Bible, and activity. In addition, students go to the pool each week, go on multiple field trips, and have opportunities to learn artistic, athletic, and practical skills from staff, interns, and volunteers. Register
TUTORING CENTER
The Tutoring Center at UIF is a place where students in elementary school can come for academic support. Whether remediation or reinforcement, we want to help our students reach their academic potential. The Tutoring Center provides a safe place for tutors and students to meet, along with providing much of the necessary supplies to aid students’ learning.
