Phil Wiegand has faithfully supported Urban Impact for over 16 years. Phil served as the CEO and President of an energy company eventually purchased by Exxon. By the world’s standards, he achieved success but there’s so much more to his story. Phil subscribes to the idea of “you can’t take it with you when you die”, so he has lived his life storing up treasures in heaven through his giving. Two key scriptural principles he adheres to that motivate his giving are:
1. The smart money invests in the Kingdom of God. (Matthew 6:20)
2. Your echo for eternity is shaped by what you do in this life. (Revelation 22:12)

Phil has written several books on this topic and created a website of related materials called kingdomnomics.com which has experienced close to 800,000 downloads in 2021.

Over the years, Phil has been drawn to Urban Impact’s unwavering commitment to sharing the gospel. Phil views his support of the organization as a modality to realize his belief in giving principles and encourages others to do the same. We thank you, Phil, for viewing the world through the prism of the cross and for being part of Urban Impact’s mission.

Thank you, Phil!
