Play Ball 4 Kids Events – Each year, UIF hosts three events for PB4K sponsors. Most sponsors represent a small business or corporation and provide large gifts to help run UIF programs. We host a kickoff luncheon ”draft” party to recruit new sponsors in mid-April, a tailgate party and pre-season game in August, and an appreciation dinner in November. DICK’s Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon – As a platinum level charity for the marathon, UIF recruits runners and volunteers for race weekend in early May. We have a table at the Expo, serve a pancake breakfast to the community, host a pasta dinner, organize a cheer-a-thon, and have a finish line festival for runners. Click here for marathon FAQs.
